“Look at the World” by John Rutter

The inspired and highly gifted composer John Milford Rutter, wrote in 1996 one of the most touching music compositions performed by The Cambridge Singers choir: „Look at the World”.

This outstanding musical composition is a hymn dedicated to God and to the protection of His creation. In the climax of this hymn, there are wonderful lyrics:

„Every good gift, all that we need and cherish.
Comes from the Lord in token of His love,
We are His hands, stewards of all His bounty,
His is the earth and His the heavens above”.

The Oxford University Press describes the composition “Look at the World” (within Music Hire Library) as follows: ”Look at the world is suitable for Harvest Festival services, or for any occasion where it is appropriate to praise God for the gifts of creation”.
