This is the first authentic color photo of Earth made from outer space!
Until recently, color images of Earth were processed in order to “play” better some details and to impress the eyes.
But on December 18, 2014, the Japanese satellite Himawari-8 (geostationed at the orbital altitude of 36000 km), used all its 16 photo bands to show the natural appearance of the Earth without color processing and leaving our planet shrouded in natural background of outer space – exactly as it is.
The superposed bands of Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA)’s satellite present the authentic characteristics of Earth – a planet which, in our opinion, does not need Photoshop to convince us that it is great (Genesis 1:31; Psalms 139:14)!
