Preamble: Bible does not hurt

Since there are books, the ugliness of the world is limited and its beauty can grow.

Having a book in hands means, as the saying goes, to have four eyes. You see more things than the crowds who do not usually read; you ‘decipher’ bounds that the majority is not aware of and you grasp possibilities and lights that do not exist in the common perception. It’s about the true freedom that books can provide you. Perhaps the truth of some of them will upset you, but as the respectable Nassim Nicholas Taleb says, “what we know, can not really hurt us”.

So it happens with the Bible, the Holy Scriptures. As you read and reread it, the Bible does not become older, but on the contrary, it gets newer and newer – and along with it, you get newer  –  beacause the Bible reveals (and reveals you) in new lights.

Biblical truth sometimes disturbs and hurts, but its message heals and elevates your possibilities and the ones around you.

„For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light” (Psalms 36:9).
